The Message

God gives Himself to us in promises, so we should give ourselves to Him in duties. Be sincere, a person who is sincere in all places at all time! Remember this! God doesn't need our praise, but a person who loves God can't help but to give it!!!

THE VALLEY EXPERIENCE
Speaker: Sister R. Reddick
Scripture Reference: James 1:2-4, 12

AA valley is a low place in your life where you find it difficult to stay focused on God or you feel as if God has left you. We've all experienced times like this at one time or another in our Christian walk but the reality of the matter is that God has promised NEVER to leave us or forsake us. Especially in bad times.

James 1 clearly tells us that we are not to be so concerned about why God is allowing these trials in our lives in thinking that He has left us or is punishing us but we are to recognize that because of these hard times God can use these trials to build our character as well as our faith and trust in Him.

Webster's Dictionary defines a trial as "a test of faith, patience, or stamina through subjection to suffering or temptation" and "a tryout or experiment to test quality, value or usefulness."

Scripture demonstrates trials in the following ways:
1. TRIAL OF THE INNOCENT: used to train through temptation and despair. (Job 9:23)
2. TRIAL OF AFFLICTION: a character test. (II Corinthians 8:2)
3. TRIAL OF CRUEL MOCKINGS: As when people wrongly accuse you. (Hebrews 11:36)
4. TRIAL OF YOUR FAITH: to prove genuineness. (I Peter 1:7)
5. FIERY TRIAL: burning, painful. (I Peter 4:12)

After going through a trial there should be a noticeable change in you, hopefully, for the better. These would include
1. YOU BECOME HUMBLE (II Corinthians 11:4)
2. YOU STOP CARING ABOUT OTHER PEOPLE'S CRITICAL OPINIONS OF YOU
3. YOU FIND VALUE IN TRUE FRIENDS AND FAMILY
4. YOU GAIN WISDOM

Don't miss out on the benefits of going through your trial.

Stay focused. Find the nuggets God intends for you to receive to build your faith and trust in Him: wisdom, joy, love, peace, faith and endurance.

There is a purpose for your trial and God will be with you every step of the way.
